In the sono picture you can not see baby A because they are so far apart from each other. When she got view of one the other went away. But baby A is in there, I saw it. Over and over again, trust me ;-) If you look closely you can almost see it on the bottom left side there is a white shadow starting.. that would be the baby.
After asking the nurse over 20 times if she was kidding and it sunk in that she was NOT kidding, the initial cry laugh shock hit me for about 5 min. Daniel stared at the computer screen in shock and my sister Mariah (who works there) came in and cried happy tears with us. After I composed myself we did all the checks to make sure both babies were healthy. Which they were.
We have baby A heart beat at 174 and baby B at 182. Baby A is on my far lower right side and baby B is on my far left side just a tad bit higher up. They will stay there the entire pregnancy and baby A will most likely be born first. It also looks like Baby A was conceived first by a day or so. Which I've been reading and is 100% possible! Apparently I had 2 eggs drop at different times perhaps or at the same time but one got fertilized first and as it was traveling down the other got fertilized and traveled down. How about them apples?! My Fathers Mother is a twin so we knew this was coming with one of us 3 girls... just happened to be me! Factors in this are: I have had 4 other babies... the more babies one has the higher chances of having twins. Another factor: I am 31, after 30 the body produces a hormone that allows multiple eggs to be released. Another factor I believe on top of all that is that we were TRYING very much so to get pregnant. I looked up when I was ovulating http://www.ovulation-calendar.net/ and they show a time frame of about a week where you are most fertile and when you actually ovulate. We used that and started at the first day and went every other day after that. Not that we were trying for twins... that was not the plan. With all the wonderful support from friends and family, we have really calmed down and are excited! A friend told me that " heavenly father is just trying to get people here faster and you are the perfect mom to do this!". After that statement a peace just filled me and also a strength! Yes, that's right! If I couldn't do this it would not have happened! I have faith in that!
Now to the part of my underlying issues so far. Subchorionic hemorrhage is what I have on both babies. That is bleeding. The bleeding that is under baby A is very close to my cervix. If the blood keeps bleeding and gets worse and under the placenta it can detach the placenta and then my body will get rid of both babies :-( So I will be doing many follow ups and I can't lift anything/exercise/bend over without using my knees/rest/no more sex for the first trimester due to the fact the bleeding is right there.... I pretty much am on bed rest for the next 2-3 weeks to make sure it heals on it's own. HELP! I had this with Zander and it was worse BUT it was much higher with Zander, it did heal on it's own. Baby B has Anterior subchorionic hemorrhage and is very small. It's just baby A that is the major concern, it has a larger one and is very close to my cervix. I have to say having Daniel get sick at this particular time frame I believe saved our babies. Because I had been so nauseous at the beginning (now I know why it was so bad) and Daniel getting super sick and the kids being sick and keeping us up all night and exhausting us... we haven't been having sex (like you all want to know that) BUT it was a BLESSING! Had we, it's very likely we could have ruptured the placenta and we would have lost both babies! Sickness does have it's bonuses!
So there is the story...
