Our trip to Apple Annie's ~ Willcox, Arizona

I have to say we were very lucky this trip. We got to the orchard about 10:00am. It was sprinkling with dark clouds threatening major hail, wind and rain all around us. We found our lane of trees to find pears. It only started to rain lightly with some pretty gusty winds here and there, so that wasn't bad at all. It felt great actually. The kids didn't seem to mind one bit. They had a blast getting the pears down from the trees and being able to eat them right off the tree! We paid our $1.50 per pound of pears (There went $10 fast ~ 15 fresh pears) and then we went 10 miles down to the pumpkin patch and rode the hay ride to the pumpkins. We got little pumpkins, well because we are cheep wods. It was $3.00 per tiny pumpkin and the prices went up from there about $5.00 more the size. So since we had to pay for the ride there as well, we figured they each could pick out their pumpkin to carve on Halloween and we will just buy one from the store to make my homemade pumpkin bread out of. That works for me! The size of pumpkin I would have needed would have been a pretty expensive loaf of Pumpkin bread! It was beautiful there, the pumpkins were amazingly clean and perfect looking and the fields were green and not filled with weeds or rocks. It was great!

When I saw the lilly pie that said baby on the way I totally thought you were pregnant! Not that there's anything wrong with that! Congrats to Tanna though!
