St. Croix Wedding ~ Dedicated to Tanna and Jordon! June 3, 2008 I cry everytime I watch this!!! And so does my mom!

Please find "Somewhere over the rainbow" on my playlist before watching the video. That song MUST be played while watching :-)

Tanna wanted to take a bit of family with her on the island. She wanted to keep the tradition of the Something old, something new. So my mom got her a super cute box and I put together little cards and attached each item on the card with the poem on each one. I gathered all the information for each one and wrote the poems myself as to include every bit of information I got for the meaning of each item. Mariah picked out the colors and was SPOT ON! Each card was a different color of her wedding flowers! Bright, bold colors! It turned out beautiful!

Old was a hanker chief from her Grandmother that Tanna's Great Grandmother embroidered around, new was her wedding dress, borrowed was my mothers original wedding band, blue was a barrette that I made to hold her flower in her hair and the silver sixpence was from her father since he is a coin collector. Worked out perfectly!

Here is what I put together for her:(I will try to get pictures to post of them soon)

Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
And a silver sixpence in her shoe.

These are for you to carry with you on your wedding day.
An expression from us, that you are loved in every way.

We wish you the best of luck and happiness too.
It will surely come with your declaration of “I do”.

To bond us forever I give something old,
Continuity in family is yours to hold.
The past is now moving to the future,
I wish yours to be watched over and secure.

A new dress reflects a pristine life before you,
With a groom that is devoted and true.
Our prayer for you we now express,
For your future to be bright and infinitely blessed.

This ring you may borrow in remembrance of me,
That good fortune in your marriage you will always see.
The circle is constant just like all of us will be,
Remember, you can always depend on your loving family.

Abounding love, good fortune and fidelity,
With blue as the ancient color of purity.
All the above we wish to give you,
As you start your life together anew.

A silver sixpence is yours to be placed in the left shoe,
For optimum wealth to be given to you.
I desire for you to have good fortune and prosperity,
I am delighted for you to have this from me.
