Husband time...

I thought I would do this while Daniel grades his papers for his Spanish 8th grade class... Thanks Karen... this sounds like fun!

What is your husband's name? Daniel Rankin Basham
How long have you been together? We met right before Halloween 2000 (keep in mind I just came back from my mission in August 2000), were engaged middle of December 2000 and married end of February 2001. So on Sunday the 24th of February we will be celebrating our 7th anniversary!
Where and how did you meet? He first saw me as the bishopric announced my return home from my mission my first Sunday as I stood up (he was sitting behind me a few rows back) He thought... wow, she's pretty, I should say something to her and concocted a reason to talk to me. Which I blew off. (must have been still in missionary mode) I first "saw" him bearing his testimony the first Sunday in September and seriously thought... "I want to marry a guy like that" (not realizing he tried to talk to me 2 weeks earlier) and watched him sit down next to a tall thin blond girl so I discarded that thought right away (later to find out it was his sister). ANYWAY... We were introduced by my good friend at the time who was friends with him at a FHE I was drug to go to. We made arrangements to go to the Temple with him and a country dance that weekend. But ended up meeting together every day till then and we were together doing something every single day since then. Literally.
How long did you date? Date??? We hung out right after work 5:00 to 2:00am most nights. But we were together every day since we first were introduced. We never called it dating. It was just friends hanging out listening to music and going to Mesa dances and FHE.
Where did you honeymoon? California (should have been Australia when we had money) and Disneyland cuz I never been since I was 3 years old. We also went to the Temple in San Diego and L.A
Who eats more? Daniel. He used to eat way more when we first got married.
Who said I love you first? Me. Right after we said "friend" prayers one night before going to bed... long story... uh. We went to Phoenix with his sisters Callie and JoAnn and were staying in a hotel. Daniel and I shared a room with Callie. Yes we slept in the same bed bud did nothing! For real! Honest! But we had always said prayers together before he would leave to go home ever since we first met and that night at the hotel we went into the other side of the room from Callie and said our prayers before we went to sleep and WOW was the spirit so strong! We started to tear up during the prayer. We gave each other the biggest hug after and I said it first and he said it back. And here we are! It was a great moment. That night too I had the worst headache at like 3:00 in the morning and he woke up and massaged my head for so long till it didn't hurt so bad that I could sleep.
Who is taller? I’m 5’4 and he’s 6’3
Who has more speeding tickets? ?? Probably me during High School but after high school that would be Daniel, but it's only 3. Me 1. Now getting pulled over and getting let off the hook... we'll not talk about that!
Who is smarter? Daniel! By far! But I'm more wise... hee hee
Who is more sensitive? Me. I'm a woman. But don't hold that against any guy.
When there is a fight, who usually wins? We don't fight. Ever.
Who does the laundry? Me. He will help me fold if it gets built up, but he doesn't like to put away. And the building up doesn't happen that often.
Who does the dishes? I do the dishwasher and he will wash the pots that don't go in the dishwasher. Usually. And he will clean the kitchen as a surprise if I am gone for something.
Who sleeps on the right? Daniel
Who pays the bills? ME!
Who mows the lawn? Me, unless I ask Daniel to, and that's only been 2 times
Who cooks dinner? Me
Who drives when you are together? Daniel
Who kissed whom first? ME! Gosh. Listening to a new Yanni cd we just got too. Wow. Memories...
Who asked who out first? We were hooked up... but Daniel asked me if I wanted to go to the Temple with him the first time we were introduced...
Who proposed? Daniel, after he asked my dad. On A Mt. with a purple rose, a baby rat, a song written just for me and his guitar. YES! YES! YES!
Who has more siblings? Daniel BY FAR! 10 children in his family and 3 in mine. All girls.
Who wears the pants in the family? Me. 100%.

Thanks to my grandfather who sent these to my email I have some pictures on my computer of our wedding day. These are the only ones I have.
