I am not one to let my babies fall asleep crying on their own. But I couldn't feed her again and we wanted to get that porch done so not happily I left her in her crip to cry herself to sleep. About an hour later this is how I found her, asleep holding her toy in one hand and her foot in the other. Cute but she was doing that quick after long cry breathing thing babies do sometimes and made me so sad. This was the first time I let her do this and most likely the last. It's so much easier for me emotionally to just take the little time to put her down myself then the hours it takes listening to them cry themself to sleep. Besides, they aren't babies for long and I really enjoy rocking them to sleep as long as they will let me. It's quiet, relaxing and I can look at them for as long as I want all peacfull. Who would want something different? Not me!
Oh, how sad! And I can't believe she still hung onto that little foot after falling asleep!
